A Day of Miracles for Maine Kids
EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Telethon Highlights Local Pediatric Healthcare
Since 1988, EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) has supported healthcare for children throughout central, eastern, and northern Maine. The annual telethon has introduced some of these children and their families, and thanked the thousands of individuals and businesses who donate time and money to ensure that the children of our region have the care they need, when they need it. The 2013 telethon followed the decades-long tradition, raising more than $633,000 during the live broadcast by WABI-TV5 from the Bangor Mall on Saturday, June 1.
Children from throughout the region joined healthcare providers and WABI-TV anchors to highlight the importance of having access to local pediatric healthcare. Individual donors and employees of corporate sponsors shared their motivation for supporting CMNH.
“Maine children deserve high quality healthcare,” said Kelly Pearson, director of EMHS Foundation CMNH. “We are so grateful to our miracle families who shared their stories and to our many generous donors whose support helps our local hospitals help local kids.”
On behalf of the kids, thank you!
