Brewer Student Organizes Event to Raise Funds for Local Healthcare for Kids

Categories: Fundraising

Sixth grade student Noah Tibbetts of Brewer, together with representatives of Bangor Federal Credit Union, will present a check for $7,111.70 to EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Hospitals on Thursday, November 17 at 10:40 am at Brewer Community School.

Funds were raised through Brewer Community School’s annual “Nickels with Noah” event. This year, the Opal Myrick Elementary School in East Millinocket, where Noah’s cousin attends, also participated. The total raised by the schools has been matched through CO-OP Financial Services’ Miracle Match Program.

For nearly 30 years, EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has supported healthcare for the children of central, eastern, and northern Maine. Enhancing more than 125,000 pediatric visits a year, CMNH helps EMHS member hospitals to purchase highly specialized medical equipment for infants and children, to support outpatient clinical services, to provide education for adolescent wellness, and to fund essential therapies for children with behavioral and mental illness.

Available for media interviews are: Noah Tibbetts and officials from Bangor Federal Credit Union, EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and Brewer Community School.
